Carolina Axle Surgeons does 5 processes very well to get you back on the road quickly!
Spindles are just as important as the rest of the wheel end assembly. Our replacement process never uses a "butt" weld. The replacement spindle has a tail that is inserted into the housing insuring that the new spindle is always centered, straight, and strong.
- We work on the axles on trailers with a 10,000+ lbs GVW.
Spindles get damaged or worn from being out of spec due to lack of lubrication, from loose bearings and bearing failure, or due to high mileage. We have 30 years experience replacing these damaged spindles.
- Customer is required to have the Brake Spider Backing Plate removed prior to our arrival!
Does your bushing in your brake spider plate no longer fit properly? With our services, we are able to provide a new brake spider plate along with a replaceable S-cam bushing housing to assist you in future repairs.
Are you unable to complete a proper alignment due to excessive play in the steer axle "I-beam" kingpin hole? We have the mobile ability to bore and sleeve this hole with a hardened sleeve, returning it to manufacturer specs.
- Along with steer axles we also have the ability to line-bore steer knuckles!
After carrying hundreds of tons of materials trunnion bars will wear out. Carolina Axle Surgeons has a process for replacing the bar.
- Customer must remove wheels and spring stacks prior to our arrival!
